Welcome to Lucy’s Art Studio, The Wild Palette, a multi-faceted artist, dedicated educator, motivator, and loving mother of two. Lucy’s artistic journey has been shaped by her experiences of relocation with her family. Her children were raised both in Munich Germany and Amman, Jordan, where she immersed herself in an expat community. These diverse life adventures have deeply influenced her artistic perspective and become an integral part of her being.
Now settled in the Midwest, specifically Greendale, Wisconsin, Lucy brings a wealth of experiences and a burning desire to share her paintings and knowledge with students and art enthusiasts alike. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of parks, landscapes, Lake Michigan, and the presence of vibrant wildlife, Lucy finds daily inspiration in the natural world, instilling in her a profound appreciation for life and its intrinsic connection to her art.
For Lucy, art is a spiritual practice that brings balance, inspiration, and joy to her existence. Sharing her artistic journey, creations, and the creative space with others is an essential part of her being. Artist Statement
Art is my sanctuary, my anchor, and my ultimate source of joy. It is through my paintings that I can truly express my innermost thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Each canvas becomes a reflection of my journey, encapsulating the essence of my encounters with different cultures, environments, and the natural world.
When I stand before a blank canvas, I am filled with a sense of anticipation, like a child invited to play. With each brushstroke, I embark on an adventure, delving into the depths of my imagination and bringing forth colors, textures, and forms that dance harmoniously. The act of creation is both cathartic and invigorating, allowing me to release and surrender to the artistic process.
